well nintendo has total complete control of the portable market, and even if things did get to an implant level, they'd easily be able to make a wallet size or smaller pack for backwards compatability, the existing "installed market" for old gameboy games is humongous, they've dominated the market for like 10-12 yrs, if the advance is as good as they say, and the cube is too.... and another thing, why the heck hasn't any one made a portable cd based game system, you can make walkmans, and if you used mini cds or minidisc's (this is where sony has a chance make a system that'll play minidisc audio and games) their is a chance if sony does it right to steal the handheld market, but they better do it before nintendo gets a better display, if they make like good holo glasses, or progecting screens, or implants; and keep their current cartridge architecture, they'll never loose. they could probably in 5 yrs merge their console and portables.. in power, at least..
