I have a Dell 2407 LCD. Can someone tell me my options for hooking up a PS3, XBox 360, and Wii to this monitor? Will I be able to get full 1080p resolution?

Also, I thought the 2407 had HDMI input when I bought it back in July, but now that the issue has come up, I haven't been able to find it. (looks like DVI and several analogue connections)

2407 never had HDMI. I don't think any PC monitors have HDMI yet. I could be wrong. The 2407 has Component input. You can use that with those consoles.

I think I meant HDCP. I had read that the step up from the 2405 to the 2407 was a faster response time and HDCP.

Are you able to run the PS3 and XBox 360 at full 1920x1080 1080p resolution? Do both of them look nice on the 2407?

That's what I thought too, I thought the 360 could only do 1080p through component.

The Dell 2405 (my panel) cannot do 1080p over component with the 360 - I tried it when the dashboard update turned on 1080p.

I've read on other webpages that the 2407 cannot display the Xbox's 1080p signal using 1:1, and instead you have to use "fill" mode where it stretches the 1920x1080 signal to the full 1920x1200. However, you say differently.

there was recently a dashboard update. now the xbox itself upscales the source.

As far as the Wii goes, there is this sweet product by vdigi called VD-Z3 which is basically a VGA transcoder, it costs aroun 70$ + the price of wii component cables, so around 100$, not cheap but the only way to play your Wii with superb image quality on your PC monitor.

Ok im a total noob here, please dont get mad, i want to hook a Wii up to a computer monitor, can i do that with a DVI or analog? If need be i could buy a LCD with DVI, but if i could use the analog it would save some costs and let me keep the CRT Thanks

What's the image quality like for everyone who has their game system hooked up to the Component inputs or the VGA on their 2407 or LCD monitor?
