First Video Game giant EA said that shipment could possibly be cut in half and now some anonymous rumor from BestBuy that they are only getting half of what they expected.

If this is true, I don't understand how Circuit City is getting 100 units at select locations.

So instead of 400,000 possibly 200,000. This holiday season is going to be a battleground.

You do realize there will be hundreds waiting in line if you go just 24 hours before the launch? People on Fatwallet are talking about camping 5-7 days ahead.

If I waited 24+ hours to get it and get mugged, robbed etc for it. I would sue Sony because they made criminals want such high in demand system, after Sony built it up the hype so much.

You'll see how stories will be in the news, it will be worse than the Xbox 360.

Only 6 locations, right? 600 units total? That's probably their total allotment. :D Instead of spreading them out they sent them to 6 stores. Easier that way. ;)

I'm gonna be rich. Sell a few of these puppies and I'll be able to afford a 997 Turbo.

No question about it. Majority of FW users are pathetic in every way possible, not just with things like this.

Depends on where they were pre-ordered from and who they pre-ordered them from. It sounds like EB Games/Gamestop at least made an attempt to make sure they were getting a certain allotment before they did pre-orders.

with all the defective systems it will probably be quite a bit less than that. If you get a bad system good luck having a replacement before the end of the year. The PS3 is gonna be like the PS2 at launch a big disappointment with only one or two games worth playing(if that). But thats how Xbox,Gamecube, ect was aswell but they didn't cost $500-$600 at launch either.

The Nintendo Wii is going to be a good winner. I won't buy it but I guess thats going to be a cheap alternative for a Holiday gift.

Also Xbox 360 sales. I think its a good time for Microsoft to drop the price on the machine or have some bundle special.

Didn't Microsoft in Europe was supposed to drop the price on it by $50 and same would follow to the U.S. It would be a good strategy for Microsoft to do that and greedy.

There are no price drops in the US on the 360. Why would they, when they know they're probably going to sell out of 360's are the current price because of the lack of supply on PS3's?

I'd say MS won't be dropping any prices untill around Spring of next year. No reason to do so now since Sony won't be able to pump out enough PS3's till around that time(if not longer).
