PS3 Playable Code Not As Super Fantastico As E3 Demos

Meh, Still pretty cool looking. And this is probably early beta stuff, so it may look allot better when it's done.

Still holding out final judgment on Xbox360 VS. PS3 until i can see the finished stuff play side-by-side.

Well, look at early PS2 games, and then look at the current titles.. it always takes time for developers.

I bought an Xbox instead of a PS2, I was disapointed with the selection of games and amount so I got rid of it. I wonder if it will be like that again.

That was pre rendered, not even in real time. I would also wager that the PS3 could not pull something like that off in real time anyway when looking at it's tremendous cpu weakness.

You mean its incredible CPU power? You may have read Anand's article- it was wrong. Not saying Anand misreported what he was told- just that developers are laughing at how inept whomever Anand talked to was.

I was at E3 and saw the video's 2 times(4 hours in line), a reporter in the front row of the theatre asked "Is that real?" which he was given a reply of "It will be" my one of the blue shirts. We were then quickly escorted out of the room.

and there were alot of cops there, I dont know why i just remembered that, but 4 cops within a 4x4 ft square is alot to be gaurding a fake shell of a PS3, shouldnt they be doing something important like, I dont know PROTECTING LA?

They always overhype how powerful a system is going to be, and pair those "lies" with extra spectacular videos of stuff that isn't going to be the real game, if it is going to be a game at all. A lot of it is just showing off what the hardware can do, yet at the same time doesn't really show off what the hardware can do during gaming situations.

The only company that hasn't lied about performance recently has been Nintendo, who repoted the GameCube as being less powerful per specs than the PS2.

Go figure.

You guys, the Xbox360 is still 3-4 months away and the PS3 is atleast 6 months away. Dont bash on something you know nothing about. Its like saying the PS3 was using its real hardware at E3 (it wasnt, for the people who dont keep up like the rest of us). You CAN say that the games will be pritty much like the current generation of games except look better because of the GPU. Developers and MS/Sony have said it will take a year or two before they start multi-threading games. So get off your high horse and just wait for the damn systems to come out, and then bash them.

Just also found out from the same meeting that i posted up is that:

The PS3 is expected to have a life cycle of 10 YEARS!!!!

And that Mr. Kutaragi said also that the PS3 is not going to be in the price range of every household and that it will be expensive
