PS3 Must Haves

This may sound odd but I am really enjoying Demon's Souls but didn't really like GOW or DMC. At first glance they kind of seem similar, but I think DS has more depth and gameplay flows better. I finally lost all my souls yesterday before I even spent them, managed to fall down a pit while going to get my first dead body. Pretty frustrating to lose 6k souls but I've played games with bigger losses for death. People are quick to forget that back in the day, there were no continues. This game is easy compared to Super Mario Bros.

If you like shooters, Killzone 2 is pretty neat. I call it the Gears of the PS3, and I'd have a hard time saying which game is better. Resistance was bland.

Wait until you lose 150k souls and two soul levels because you got invaded and soulsucked while trying to run back to the Nexus to level up and commit suicide.

I was wondering why someone suggested the nexus as an easy place to commit suicide. At first I was like why would I do that... then I realize the only way people invade you is if you aren't in soul form.

Honestly, games used to be harder than this. They've gotten easier over the years and I'm glad they had the balls to bring it back. They did something new and it turned out to be bad and good at the same time. Bad because you'll hate to get invaded, but good because it adds a challenge otherwise not found in these games.

Not exactly. It's because dying in any world causes world tendancy to shift +1 to black, even in the Nexus, but there are no WT events in the Nexus, so it's a safe place to die without effecting any of the 5 worlds. Most people try to get all the Pure White WT events completed before doing the far harder Pure Black WT events, or doing the far harder pure black WT events in NG+ which is 40% HARDER than the first run through of the game.

How is multiplayer designed for trolling? 80% is cooperative. Do you mean invading black phantoms, because if you play right, they stand no chance. They are phantoms with no more than 75% of their health, and you should have 3 phantoms of your own helping you to defeat them.

There are also zero areas where you do not have 100% camera function. Yes there are tight areas, but the camera never gets locked like in other games such as GoW or Uncharted. Like all things that are genuinely hard, this game takes practice, unlike GoW or Uncharted...

Hope you enjoy it. It is an unusual game that not everyone enjoys, but it is my favorite game this generation. Nothing I've played has given me as much satisfaction or pleasure.

I am very excited for Project Dark, although I will likely get it for 360 if I can convince my real life xbros to buy it as well.
