Agh, I hate posting here about this shit again, but I am getting really frustrated.
I am using PS3 Media Server to stream movies from my laptop to my PS3. I had some problems with speeds/choppiness/lag in the past. Almost got it all fixed. Low resolution files would work fine, but 1080p would not.
I got a new quad core laptop. Now my laptop can handle 1080p, awesome. But sometimes it would hiccup during streaming. No problem, just picked up a wireless n router since my laptop is wireless n and now I don't have to worry about hard wiring the laptop.
So my setup is like this. Fios Cable modem. Belkin Wireless N hardwired into that. PS3 Hardwired to belkin. Laptop connected to Belkin Wifi network. I run PS3 Media server and I get two different errors. Sometimes it says No PS3 found with the big red X. But sometimes it just says "Another media renderer other than PS3 has been found".
The PS3 recognizes my laptop as it pulls up the Windows Media Player, but it doesn't recognize my PS3 Media Server. No idea why, as it used to work fine.
*sigh* Does anyone have any suggestions?
