hey from what ive read so far its better to use a 5400 laptop drive than the 7200 sata drive. My question is does anyone know if you have to use a sata 150 or a sata 300? For those of you who replaced you internal ps3 hd what did you use?

I used a Seagate Momentus drive, it is SATA 3.0, 160 GB

but I think most any SATA drive would be OK

Just to keep someone from making a mistake, that's any laptop SATA drive.

Last time I looked a 250 GB was the best value at newegg if you wanted space for a music collection or lots of videos, but that was a few weeks ago.

320GB SATA laptop was at Costco today for $130 I believe. Good deal if you need the space.
