You guys folding?

If at all possible, see if you can audition them both in your home. This depends on how nice the paradigm dealer is. Speakers sound different depending on the room they are in.
Some guidelines to ensuring you get the best sound out of your speakers:
1. Right/left symmetry: speakers are symmetrically placed along the front wall.
2. Listening position: 38% of the length dimension of the room. Since your room is 16' long, the best place for your couch (where you ears are) is just under 10' from the front wall.
3. Keep speakers > 2' away from walls. More is better.
For subwoofer setup: Since your subwoofer is heavy, you will want to follow this.
1. Place the subwoofer at your listening position.
2. Crawl around the room while bassy music is playing and find the locations where the bass sounds clean, not boomy, and not accentuating certain notes.
If your room is shoe-box dimensioned without weird openings, rules of reciprocity function. Place the subwoofer where you felt it sounded great during your crawl.
Corners of the room boost bass levels due to the proximity to very high energy zones of the room (tri-corners) (all 3 room-modes are excited). Placing subwoofers at the center of a wall tends to grant more uniform response as only two of the room-modes are excited.
Placing a subwoofer between the stereo mains allows the subwoofer to acoustically blend in much much better. It will be harder to localize specific sounds to the subwoofer. It will sound like all the sound is coming from the speakers even though you know that low bass is physically impossible from your small speakers.
Let us know how it works out! If you have any questions, just post!
