PS3 hands on

I mean what does PS3 have to do with HDMI? Will it only output 720p + in HDMI? That would be a dealkiller for me since I have an HDTV (integrated tuner) with component inputs only.

i know it will only output blueray movies over the hdmi connection.... component will be downconverted to 480p/480i.

i doubt the games would be downconverted too but since sonys games are on the blueray disc its possible but not likely so you will be able to play games (probably) but wont be able to play movies.

perhaps not, but the seemingly godlike status of the ps3 has been refuted.

From the article it's obvious that the differences will indeed be noticable, but keep in mind how much of a head start xbox360 has and the fact that their losses per console will be much less than ps3.

I'm not saying that Sony will die, but that its success will indeed be hampered (at least at first) by coming in so late in the game without all the dreamy stuff that htey promised.
