PS3 gets keyboard and mousey

So the question now is, do I even need to get UT2007 for my computer or just get a mouse and keyboard and play with the PS3.

Last time I checked your computer ALREADY had a mouse and keyboard.

You will have to wait until PS3 is available to buy, because before the PS2 was released, we were promised the following on PS2:

- Real time graphics that would look like Toy Story
- Downloadable media center that would allow you to download music and video from your ps2 hooked up to the net
- Hooking your digital camera up via USB and using your PS2 as an image viewer
- Having games take advantage of the HDD (and no, 2 or 3 games using it is not what they promised).

What I'm trying to say is that Sony makes a lot of promises that never happen. But something as simple as a mouse/keyboard seems easy enough to implement, but you just never know.

The thing is, I have a 61" HD DLP setup in my basement and almost no computer screen could compete with that. Luckly the PS3 will be released next summer when I am home where the DLP is.

I for one am really liking this. I was going for the ps3 anyway and this makes it even better. YES i love computer games and play them everyday but i also like console games. The one thing i hate about consoles is the damn controller for FPS. Its fine for fighting/racing and those typse but as soon as you try and play an FPS or RTS on a console it all goes to crap. Having the keyboard allows people play FPS and RTS on a much higher lvl on the console system.

just becuase it looks like that? you have absolutely NO clue how it feels. It could be the most comforatable controller to date and you are already writting it off. I dont think a huge corperation would release a controller that felt like total crap to play with.

I hate how people make conclusions with out any proof of other system. I for one wont buy one untill both of them come out. thats the only way to really know.

They havent came out and said that the keyboard and mouse will be supported for games. If it has USB ports i imagine at some point you will be able to but what the ps3 is doing here is letting the game designers know that they have to program/have availble this new device.

:thumbsup:...most things that come out of Sony's reps regarding the PS3 is bullsh!t. Take the crap they were talking about thier system at E3, people were amazed at the graphics for one of their games, until it was revealed that it was a FMV, NOT a real-time video. After that, Sonys head guy starts talking sh!t about the Xbox360, even though at that time MS had provided some of the specs and specifics of their system while Sony had provided NONE.

Yes they both spew out false SH#T all the time. I dont trust either of them..hence why its best to wait and see which one is better..AFTER they come out.
