PS3 exclusives worth getting?

I just bought a PS3 (I don't mind being behind the times. I'll wait 6 months for the PS4 for games I actually want to play to come out. Only launch title that interests me is Black Flag.)

I have a 360 and some games. (Red Dead Redemption, Assassin's Creed series, HALO series, GTA4, etc.) Some are 360 exclusive, some not. I'm wondering what PS3 exclusives are worth getting?

I mostly play single player story driven games. (already got GTA5, uncharted series for ps3). I'm thinking of getting the Final Fantasy 7, 10, 10-2 (versions for ps3) and 13 games.

Anyone have suggestions for other games?
 
You already have the Uncharted series, which is great. Other exclusives I really love include

Infamous series
The Last of Us
Heavy Rain
Beyond: Two Souls (honestly haven't played it yet, but it's supposedly similar to Heavy Rain in style, so I'm sure I'll love it)
Demon's Souls
GoW 3
Valkyria Chronicles
 
I second Infamous, lot of fun. The collection is cheap. I warn against Demon's Souls only because it will literally crush your soul and it's really not for most people.

Playstation plus also gets you free games immediately including right now an awesome RPG, so definitely get it!
 
  • Ratchet and Clank is enjoyed by many but it is light on story. Mostly blowing things up with weird weapons.
  • I enjoyed Heavenly Sword and Enslaved - both great story driven games. However, be aware that the former runs about 6 hours and the latter about 10 hours.
  • The Katamari series is great. Light on story, but unique gameplay and atmosphere.
  • Dragon's Crown is a fun beat em up (co-op allowed!). Light on story again.
  • Nier is considered great by some but is also really niche. Very heavy on story.
  • Ico + Shadow of the Colossus HD remake is great if you never played those games on PS2.
  • Zone of the Enders HD remake is great if you never played those games on PS2.

Seconding:
  • Demon's Souls, then if you like it Dark Souls (although Dark Souls is multiplat, I think it is best on PS3)
  • Valkyria Chronicles
  • Infamous 1 & 2
  • The Last of Us
  • Heavy Rain, then if you like it Beyond: Two Souls

I didn't know there was an SoC remake on ps3. I never played it on PS2 (don't have one), but i hear great things about it...and I have some wallpapers from it. It looks incredible, visually.
 
Yup good thing you have the uncharted series. Last of us is a definate yes too. Heavy rain, gta 5, gran turismo 5, ratchet and clank is great too. You may also enjoy tomb raider too.
 
Also get the God of War series. God of War 2 is such an awesome game and the graphics in 3 are still top notch to this day.

The Tomb Raider game that came out this year is nothing like the ones on the PS1. It's closer to Uncharted. It's definitely worth checking out, if you can put up with Laura's many gruesome deaths.

Yea tomb raider 2013 is completely different. If you like uncharted you will like this.

Only $8 in the used bin at Gamestop. Actually i'm really surprised about the resale of console games lately, cheaper than Steam often.

i tried god of war when my brother bought the god of war trilogy (remastered for ps3). didn't really like the gameplay. :/
 
i disagree with Dumac about ratchet and clank - i think the stories are awesome. but they are like a pixar movie type of story, very straight forward but they are just fun stories.

not sure if it's your thing, but hot shots golf out of bounds is the best golf game i've ever played. so much fun, and it does have a long single player mode. it's part 5, and a newer one that is DLC only called world invitational, and it's not nearly as good.

i was also always a fan of resistance. all 3 were very good games.

(these are on top of others that have been suggested that i also agree with)

Any game not leaking so much testosterone out of the package that touching it instantly gives you a Marcus Phoenix goatee and a 10 pack a day voice.

Any game without grenades and assault rifles that dudebros are scared will make them grow a vagina if they are seen playing it.
