PS3 disc problems

I bought 3 used PS3 games from Gamestop (buy 2 get 1 free).

Assassin's Creed 2
Resonance of Fate
Infamous

I tried to play AC2 first. It started skipping like there was something on the disc or it was scratched. Took the disk out and it looks flawless, not even a smudge.

Tried RoF next and it played without any problems.

Then tried Infamous. Played fine until I got back on the other side of the bridge after meeting the FBI lady and it hung While loading the next part of the game I assume. I was able to quit using the PS button. Took the disc out and it had some smudges and there were some very small, light scratches on the disc. I've had PS1 and music cds look 100x worse and they still played fine.

Cleaned the smudges as best as I could and put it back in. Loads the Sucker punch logo and then goes to a black screen with the Infamous title at the bottom and just sits there. Game won't load any further.

Haven't had any issues until now. I played RDR and Army of Two a few days before I got these games and those played just fine. Blu-Ray movies play fine as well.

Any ideas or should I just try to exchange them for different copies?

Well you said you tried games days ago, if other games work fine when trying them again and those don't then take them back.

hmm...so Infamous installed during the initial launch so i decided to delete the installed stuff and start over. it reinstalled again and now it seems to work ok.

must have been a flaky disc for AC2. exchanged it for another one and the new disc works perfectly.

Ok, this is weird. 1st time I played the new AC2 disc is worked perfectly. 2nd and 3rd times it like skipped again during the loading section but once it got to the menu I could play fine.
