PS3 Controller on PC?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a way to use my DualShock 3 Controller on my PC. After some browsing I ran into three options: MotioninJoy, Better DS3 and SCPServer(http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller). Is there anyone out here with experience with any of these options? Want to know if they are safe to use and which one of them you prefer. I heared MotioninJoy isn't that safe and Better DS3 uses the MotioninJoy drivers. How about SCPServer, is that one safe to use?

I use motionjoy. Not sure whats so unsafe about it. It also has a 360 controller emulator for those 360->PC ports that use a default 360 controller layout.

I've used motionjoy before, it serves up ads inside the app which creates connections to the internet, some people see this as "unsafe", I've never personally had an issue with it nor have I ever seen any evidence it does anything malicious so I'm not sure if that's fear mongering or not.

I don't know if the others are any better, I've never needed anything more than the MJ ones.

Thanks for the replies. Is there anyone out here that has used SCPServer and could share his experiences with it?

Motioninjoy works reasonably well, which is fortunate as there isn't much in the way of choices. The 360 controller is natively supported but being on the PlayStation since the first, I loathe the 360's controller layout.

MIJ is buggy malware, unusable without internet connection and causes blue screens by conflicting with your other bluetooth or wireless drivers. Don't use it. I used it for a few months and ended up having to do a full format to remove this piece of shit.
