That's an awesome bundle. Two of the best exclusive PS3 games.

I'm still probably going to buy an older 60GB so I can play all the GoW games.

Damn, if I don't already have the PS3, I would be all over this deal. Of course, you can buy the bundle and sell off all the stuff individually for profit.

I'd still probably wait for the rumored Slim andor a price drop if I didn't have a launch 60GB (Lost in 1080 blu-ray is sweet), but it's a great deal if you want those two games.

FYI, I've seen other deals lately like $349 without extra games, $399 with Wall-E and Little Big Planet, $399 with extra dual shock and something else. So if you don't want those games just keep your eyes open for the right deal for you.

I wouldn't call MGS4 a great game. The demo for Killzone 2 wasn't great, so I haven't bought or rented it.

Which PS3 do you have now? Just pick up a PS2 and save a few bucks unless you feel you need a second PS3.

+1, MGS4 is a great game and Killzone 2 is pretty fun too, I didn't like it as much as the media but it's a great game, I just wish the controls weren't so "heavy".

That's a good bundle but it really shocks me that Sony hasn't made a single bundle with family friendly titles . Seems like they would sell more units if they gave families a solution for their Blu Ray intertainment and kids amusement but that's just my 2 cents.

Sony has done their research and know they can't touch Wii's target segment, so they're just gonna focus on their own target segment. MGS 4 and KZ 2 are perfect games for the bundle.

I mean let's be serious here, $400 is pretty steep for a game console for a 4 year old. And most parents will buy children video in DVD format 'cause it's just cheaper than BR. Besides, there aren't even that many children title for the PS3, while the Wii is made for the whole family with many titles suitable for children.

The latest patch makes it MUCH better overall. I recommend people try it if they haven't.

I guess it's not a Sony bundle, but Best Buy's LittleBIGPlanet + Wall-E Blu-ray bundle fills that void rather well.

Possibly another die shrink to cut the heat and allow for a smaller, cheaper cooling system and smaller, cheaper PSU.

If there isn't a die shrink from 65nm then the slim would still be cheaper to make, but could run louder because of the fans needing to run at higher speeds.

No one has real information yet, just hints from the "mole" at Ars that has correctly reported other PS3 and 360 new models / bundles.

That's a pretty sweet deal for someone that is just getting into PS3 gaming.

I think it's a pretty good bundle if you haven't bought a PS3 yet. It's obviously targeting gamers, as opposed to people who just want an entertainment unit to play BD and maybe some games. You have MGS that is a slow tactical FPS and if you like faster paced, then KZ2 is there to cater to those players. Plus those two games do an excellent job of showing the PS3's capabilities, instead of crappy ports from lazy devs that don't optimize for the PS3.

FPS is always a big seller and I'm guessing makes up a large portion of what people generally play. So if you haven't bought a PS3 yet, this is a good reason to jump in and also for Sony to move out the remaining "old" units out.
