Definitely hot considering this will cost you $400 in stores even with the recent price drop.

Link to product @ Dell.com

Apply this coupon code to save 15% (does not stack with other savings, but is more substantial than $30)

Hope this helps anyone looking to pick up a PS3!

Drake's is now a greatest hits at $30 so most people will want to get it with the new PS3 Slim at $299 + $30 for the game.

You only get 120 GB of storage instead of 160 but the slim is smaller, quieter, and uses 34% less power thanks to the Cell being shrunk from 65nm to 45nm.

Amazon and GameStop (online) are already taking pre-orders on the Slim, probably others.

yeah, that would be 10x better than this deal

The old ones need to drop below the slim price for it to make sense to buy it. I imagine after Sept we should be seeing sales while stores try to get rid of their stock.

Personally I think PS3 Slim is really ugly. If I could find a cheap fat bundle like this for $250 I would be all over it.

That's what she said😉

No model available now plays PS2 games, the 80GB Metal Gear bundle was the last one that did.

All models including the Slim play PS_1_ games.

If you want PS2 BC the launch 20GB/60GB models are the ones to get, they have the 2 PS2 chips for hardware BC while the old 80GB model only had one chip + software. Of course they're out of warranty and Sony charges $150 for repairs, so picking up a PS3 Slim -and- PS2 Slim might make more sense.

Can you pre-order from Wal-Mart or whatever store that uses paypal and get the checkout discount on a PS3 slim?

$299(Store with the most discount)-discount=$$ ??

all the more reason to get a SLIM (aka SMALLER) version...

I think the power savings from the slim will add up to quite a few bucks over its lifetime...
