well yeah. spending $20 on memory cards is not a great thing, however the Playstation has cheaper games and a much wider selection of games. dont you think this somewhat makes up for that?

So your a "quantaty over quality" type of guy.

Iv been enjoying Xbox greatly, there is nothing on ps2 that would attract me.
Friend had a ps1, and it felt like as most of the games came from a money franchise. The only game that i really enjoyed was metal gear solid.

Xbox defiently.

If he isnt going to play online, the console comes with 4 controller ports. (Unlike the PS2)

Plus the games I think are better..

Halo
Forza Motor Sports
Metal Gear Solid (For the Xbox)
GTA on the Xbox is awesome..

Well, you really cant compare PS1 to anything. Thats like saying the 3DO was better than the Neo-Geo. I had a had time chossing between the xbox and the ps2. I finally got the ps2 after the slim line came out (I know, years before the first PS2) because the games that are exclusive to the PS2 appealed more to me than what was on the xbox. Same reason I bought a gamecube over the xbox. I'm a big zelda fan and that wont be on anything except a nintendo system. For consoles I only by games that only come out on console. If a game is on a PC then the PC version will always be my first choice (except for GTA:SA, which I got last year and still bought the PC version). I all depends on what type of games you want to play and in my case the ps2 had more games I would want than the xbox. Plus the xbox was fugly and big and after having 16 consoles I didnt have the room.
