I'm looking for a PS2 controller adapter so I can play games on my pc using a regular PS2 controller.

I HATE all the pc controllers out there now. IMO the most practical layout is that of the PS2. I have a Logitech Dual Action controller currently, but like many others it suffers from calibration problems and i'm sick of it.

Can anyone tell me if they have had any compatability problems with these PS2 usb adapters? Also, which specific adapters work well? I've seen tons of them scattered around ebay, and have no idea which work the best.

Check out www.liksang.com - Note that most converters have crappy support, so dont expect to be able to use it when the next revision of windows comes out. They are unsupported hardware unlike real PC gamepads. I use a PS2 to USB converter myself but it has problems in certiain games with the rumble pad so I use the non-rumble, regular PS2 controller. Be warned that these devices are not perfect and their support is nowhere near a genuine controller. I wish there were open sourced drivers for these kinds of devices myself.

The SmartJoy plus is nice, but the shipping is @$@#$ CRAZY. Expect to pay 15$ of shipping for a 13$ converter.

I had the same problem u had with the dual action controller. You should call logitech and get a new one. With my first controller, the calibration problems got so bad that it would get messed up in 5 mins. The new one logitech sent me to the mail is great, havent had any problems.

You ever tried the original Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad? That is the only PC gamepad I like.
