I hear you MrHelpful, I was banned by mistake a few days ago. It was a pain in the arse to get unbanned.

Although currently PS2 is rocking XBOX games wise, I can bet ya that in a few months the tables will have turned.

<< << Also the XBOX has much greater potential just look at the specs. >>

That's the problem with some of you PCr's who haven't been into console gaming...

Specs don't count for sh!t. I can name you several consoles that had better specs than anything else out at the time and they failed miserably.

I look at the specs and see that the Xbox is a lot better value than the PS2. Sure, you have to shell out $30 for the DVD, but looking at the gaming aspects, having the hard drive built in and being broadband ready is a lot better than what PS2 has. With PS2 you currently have to resort to buying expensive and slow memory cards with the possibility of paying more money later on for a hard drive add-on, and it requires the purchase of extra hardware to go online.

Of course the XBox isn't doing as well as the PS2; the PS2 has been out over a year longer than the XBox and has way more games for it. Give the XBox another year and it will have a better game library and better quality games. The PS2 had terrible games for it's launch. Thing about what it was like a year ago.

I look at the PS2 and I see a great library (to go along with the "out of date" PS1
games). I see the Xbox and the promise of delivering in the future. Buy PS2 now.
Wait and see with Xbox. There's plenty of time. Besides Xbox isn't going to receive
its big online push until middle of next year (and if recent rumblings are to be
believed, not until LATE next year). Online gaming is overrated anyway...

I would go with a ps2 or a gamecube, I wouldn't get an xbox because I have played one, and it isn't really that great, plus if you went with a ps2, you could get final fantasy X. Oh and most of the games for xbox will come out for computer, so why bother.

I have a Gamecube and of course my computer. The ONLY reason I would get any other console system is for FFX. 😀 The XBox will probably turn out like the TurboGrafix16 or something like that; Sony and Nintendo own the market.
