There I was, happily surfing the net when my PS2 mouse decides to throw a fit!
It starts pressing buttons all by itself, the mouse pointer stops and starts when you try to move it and phases in and out of reality, then the damn thing just ends by refusing to move and killing most of the OS.
I've tried resetting the computer and removing/reinstalling all drivers in normal and safe mode. The mouse will work ok for a while but then goes into psycho mode.
Funny thing is, when I swap the mouse over to serial everything works fine using the standard MS serial driver. The OS won't load however if I install the driver that came with my mouse which is required to use the third button.
Could this be a virus?
Is my mouse bust?
Has WinME messed up the registry and I'll have to do a re-install?
Can anyone help?
Thanks!
