ps2 memory card

I have a jap. ps2 and a us ps2. I have saves from ffx: int'l from my jap. system, and I just got the US ps2 online pack. To go online it tells me I need a memory card. Does any1 here know if saving online settings on my memory card will erase my jap. ffx: int'l saves?

Edit: you can get Socom 1 with the headset for $20 dollars at BJs.
 
lol. I was gonna get socom2 and then buy a headset, but since socom 1's only $20 w/ a headset I might get that instead.
 
<<has been through more socom headsets than you can count....figured out the VERY VERY BEST WAY TO BUY CONTROLLERS AND HEADSETS....

I only buy them from EB Games/EBX/Electronic Boutique now...I buy the EB extended warrenty with the contoller and headset....$3 extra for controller...$5 for headset......If your accessory breaks within one year bring it back to any store for a new one....the good thing is.....when you get a new one for free you can once again renew your warrenty there for another 3-5 bucks......

so theoretically...you can buy a headset....25-40bucks + 5 extended warrenty....and get a new one each year for 3-5 bucks....just make sure it breaks b4 the year is up....it shouldn't be that hard..

I've been through about 7 controllers...due to my wife's amplitude playing and about 5 headsets cause for 5 bucks i don't give a F#$%.....

lol. I just got socom2 today and it's hard b/c I'm really not used to shooting and moving w/o a kb&amp;mouse.
