Soon, they'll add a monitor, harddrive, keyboard, and mouse and you'll have a ... PC! Wow, how did Sony ever come up with this idea?

I have a PS2. I am not exactly sure what the hell I'll do with a PS2 running Linux. I've used Linux only a couple of times. What I can say though is that this is very very cool and I'll get a copy even if its totally impractical for me!

I can also say it's going to make PS2 a bit more popular if this is easy to use because now if somebody is deciding between all consoles and one happens to have a highly functional operating system the choice would be simple.

<< Wow... it's about damn time!
Linky to The Reg article.
I personally can't wait to have another computer in the house! Hehehe...

I thought this was why everyone was bashing the XBOX...because "it's just a computer for gaming."

Still, it sounds pretty slick. Would be a good internet machine while it's not gaming.

I'll be getting this when it comes out for sure. Just to say I have it if nothing else.

Dunno, but for X-Mas there is supposed to be the broadband upgrade for the PS2 owners - 40gig ATA100 HDD, ethernet adapter. I don't know if they intend linux to come with it.
