ps2 DVD volume

when I play a dvd in my PS2 I have to turn up the TV all the way up to hear it regularly. everything else works fine, just dvds in my ps2.... any ideas?

The dynamic range in DVDs is a lot larger than on a tv show or game (makes explosions loud and whispers quiet). Generally you'll have to turn things up to get dialog from DVDs loud.

There's an extensive thread somewhere around here with someone having issues.

so in other words, i'm screwed.

same thing happens to me and i hate it. when i watch tv and i have the air on i can hear fine. when i watch a dvd i have to crank the volume all the way up and still can barely hear it.

not just the ps2 though. it does it on my other dvd player too
