Call me crazy, but I just decided to purchase 3 months of ps+ basically to try out Awesomenauts for free. If anyone would like to play with me my psn name is tconthepc3. Main question is, how do people feel about their purchase of PS+?

I got it to try it out. I liked the idea of updates being done automatically overnight and having a backup of game saves. Got NFS Shift 2 for free which was nice, would never have purchased that game otherwise.

I really like it. I've gotten TONS of awesome games. So much so I had to delete a bunch from my 120GB harddrive. Like said above, the automatic updating you can set every night is great and saving games to the clouds great too. Also getting discounts on other good games is great too.

Is it easy to save previous game saves to the cloud, such as dark souls or something that I've been working on?

Cloud saving, auto-updates, great discounts and tons of free stuff.

Any serious gamer should have it.

To me, I'd have to be buying a lot of discounted/free games before the entry cost paid off. Not really that worth it IMO, for me anyway. Also, auto updates seems like something the PS3 should just do.

Exactly. Why do I need to purchase a service to schedule downloads on my console?

Just go to your save games, hit triangle, and choose copy to cloud.

On a side note they limit you to 150 mb. I had Fallout 3 saving automatically and I very quickly filled it up with saves from that game alone. Had to go in and manually delete a few so other games would have some room.

So you paid $18 for a 3 month rental if you do not renew when you could of bought it for $10.

Only use of cload storage to me would be backing up copy protected save games (I guess your SOL if they all don't fit in 150MB) and I already lost them to a dead PS3. Free games that disappear if you cancel don't interest me. They cancelled Qore so in typical Sony fashion are removing features from it.

PS+ is a great deal. When I first bought it I went on the PS forums bitching about how lame it is. Months later I think it is one of the best subscription values you will ever see in gaming, period. I can understand why someone might not think it is very good but I would also have to question how much, if at all, they have really used it.

After months of use I can tell you I have saved enough on PSN games to pay for the service, in addition to all the free games they give you. Yeah you will lose them if you forget to re-up your service but it has autopay setup so that really is no excuse at all. Anyone who tells you something is wrong with this service either only had it on trial, had no disposable income to really use it properly, or is a closet Xbox fanbaby.

As someone who rarely plays MP games online on consoles, PS+ is awesome. It's like XBL Gold, which for whatever reason I keep subscribing to as well, but I actually get something out of it.

Its not like that one game is the only thing he can get in 3 months.

PS+ is a way better deal than XBL. Getting a free game or two a month plus some good discounts on other stuff is pretty nice.

Could not agree more. Live is a bit of a scam. Plus is a huge bonus for any Playstation user that plays more than a couple or few hours a week.
