Is a MicroATX 180Watt Power Supply enough to run:

ABIT BD7M Motherboard
2x 256MB Samsung PC2700
P4 1.8A GHz
ATI AIW Radeon 8500DV
80GB IBM GXP120 HDD
16x Pioneer DVD
SoundBlaster Live!
NIC
Zip 100

And a few USB Devices sometimes?

Is there any settings in windows that will let me squeak by?

BTW The PSU Is AMD And P4 Approved.

It may very well run it but I would not risk it as you will have problems with lock-ups and random rebooting.

<< 180 watt??? i hope your joking... >>

Its the largest Micro ATX Power Supply I could find on the Web, and It happen to come with the case. Since the Northwood consumes less power, I was hoping it could run. Maybe I could go dual power supply? Or squeeze an ATX PSU inside it...

140w psu ran my a7v133, duron 750, cdrw, 30GB maxtor, gf2mx, santa cruz and nic. it was only for a little bit after my psu blew and before i got my new one, but it *did* work fine.

Well, if it kicks out a minimum of 18 amps on the 3v line I suppose it would, but I highly doubt that it does. If I'm not mistaken that is the bare min. power requirement to run a P4.

EDIT: I have heard of a few people using "certified" PSU's that still crapped out after a short time... including one myself... so that doesn't guarentee that it will work. The fact that it's a 180 watt makes me very skeptical.

Think I can get one off of Fleabay?

Also, I have a friend that ditched his old crap ass micro atx box (P3 450 I think) and has a Power supply I can use/buy off cheaply So do you think that the dual power supply thing will work? Its like 150W and non AMD/P4 Approved.
