Is there such a thing as a PS/2 to USB converter? Reason is my keyboard is a PS/2 but my new laptop doesn't have a ps/2 port, only USB's. Sucks huh? I really like my keyboard and would like to keep it. Anybody know of a converter and where to get one? Thanks!

Yup there is such a beast but I don't know where to get one. I know one exists because one came with a Microsoft Natural Keyboard a friend of mine bought.

This is a quirk limited to cheap adapters as I understand it. Native USB keyboards, and PS/2 keyboards hooked up to good adapaters don't have this problem.

so is the 20$ adapter i bought from newegg, cheap? it is a Natural multimedia KB (ms) and one of the adaptors from newegg. It is so damn annoying, i have to use the dell USB keyboard from upstairs whenever i want to play Battlefield, or CS!!!!!

hey guys, i decided to order a Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite instead of going through the trouble of the adapter. From what you've told me the key holds don't work well, so I decided to just grab a nice new keyboard for $12 =)

thanks guys for the replies! Very helpful!
