WOOOOOOOMOOOOOOO!

proxy.teamanandtech.com - Accepts connections on port 2064 (DNet standard).
proxy23.teamanandtech.com - Accepts connections on port 23 (telnet).
proxy80.teamanandtech.com - Accepts connections on port 80 (http).

Currently there are six Team AnandTech pproxies these hostnames resolve to (four pproxies for ports 23 and 80). Two more pproxies will be added when the team DNS server is activated. It is not mandatory to change your clients and private pproxies to this, but we please invite you to use the round-robin tree. This will provide pproxy redundancy in case Mika's or any one of the baby bovines fails.

All of the pproxies in this round-robin send their blocks directly to Mika's. Your stats will still show up on Mika's no matter which pproxy you connect to! :) Enjoy! :D

Note: For anyone using the temp tapp*.iodbbs.com hostnames, please change it to the permanent Team AnandTech hostnames. :)

So, if we're flushing to Mika.dhs.org it still goes directly to Mika w/o hitting the round robin, right?
I'm asking because I like having the "hostnames participating for" feature of the pproxy.

Looks like it's working fine. I've hit two different Baby Bovines so far. Thanks for the efforts, guys!!!

To use the Team AnandTech round robin pproxies:

For Clients --

Go into the config:
2) Buffer and Buffer Update Options
6) Keyserver<->client connectivity options
2) Automatically select a distributed.net keyserver? ==> no
3) Keyserver hostname ==> proxy.teamanandtech.com
4) Keyserver port ==> 2064
5) Keyserver is a personal proxy on a protected LAN? ==> yes

Note: #5 is set to yes, which means no fall back is enabled. With a round robin pproxy setup, you shouldn't have to worry if one pproxy fails, because it will just try a different one later.

For PProxies --

Edit the proxyper.ini:
[KeyServer]
ipaddress=proxy.teamanandtech.com
port=2064

Note: If you are behind a firewall, you will want to change the hostname and port number accordingly to the proxy23 or proxy80 hostname. You are now good to go! :)

The RR works great! I'll slowly be updating my machines as I get my grubby little hands on them ...

Yeah thanks. I found it later.

I'm switching my email address - gotta have the right country's flag show up. ;) It seems anything with a ".com" is considered American.

Hopefully all my old blocks will be properly registered when I retire that account.

Yeah it sucks that nationality is chosen strictly via top-level domain. I had a brief email exchange about this with Mika before christmas but no luck getting correction to this one :/

I resent the idea that people think that I'm from some suburb of Newark or Butthole, Nevada when the truth starts with the letter F and is positioned between a lot of unsafe nuclear reactors and the plants of Volvocar, Inc.

I don't mind switching, count me in :). Thanks to all who are providing pproxys, especially Mika. Love those stats.
