proxy / msn messenger problem

hey all, i've got wingate version 4 going here at home, and i can't get msn messenger to work on the other computer. the network itself is working fine, IE is working as well, but MSN messenger won't. i think it has something to do with that SOCKS stuff but i'm not sure. can anyone help?
