Geeks.com has a deal on

Polyview 19in LCD Monitor Model V293

on sale for $307.99

comes new in retail box with a 1 year warranty.

no rebates to worry about

comes with DVI inputs

also thinking about it ...

16ms
DVI
19"
(with speekers for those times you are traveling)

Seems like a good clean deal.

EDIT: Forgive the 16ms. I thought that I saw 16ms somewhere. I must have been comparing too many LCDs.

Any thoughts on this one? Detailed Defect Policy .. .. ..

"LCD displays may have cosmetic imperfections that appear
as small bright or dark spots. This is common to all LCD
displays used in products by all vendor and is not
specific
to any vendor or brand. Below are the acceptable
amounts of
dot defects for LCD displays that we sell:

17-Inch to 19-Inch:
Total Defects: 8
Bright or Dark Dots (random): 4
Bright or Dark Dots (2 adjacent): 2
Bright or Dark Dots (3 adjacent): 0
Minimum distance between defects: 15 mm (bright to
bright
dots); 5 mm (dark to dark dots "

I may be mistaken, but i think i just saw a sign for a Proview 19" LCD for $279 at Staples... NR

Was going to make the exact same comment myself. Acceptable levels of defects?? C'mon now!

I may have paid a bit more for my Viewsonic VP912b, but it is perfect! No dead or stuck pixels, no bright or dark spots, etc. and a three year warranty.

Oh well, to each his own.

There is a big difference between polyview and proview, the latter being a real low end monitor, while the polyview has shown its worth among many consumers, I think the response time on that proview is 25ms as well. Someone get this thread figured out. I own the Polyview 19inch just got a on friday form chiefvalue in 3days, No ghosting no dead pixels, seriously I am amazed how nice this lcd display is compared to its overpriced competition who probably use the same panel. I play CS up the ying yang and I have yet to see any ghosting but hey, I upgraded from a dell 1401fp, and I am not complaing about the ghosting on that sucker jesus.

when it says 16ms typical, that means it can range a lot I would be very wary of purchasing the monitor,
Oh and chiefvalue.com is the same as newegg.com . So expect the same fast delivery and service.

I only see the 17" Proview at Staples and that's going for 299.

In store, they have the Proview PL913S for $279. Good deal, not a bad looking monitor at all.

Anyone want to send me the XP drivers for this thing? Mine did not come with a CD-ROM and the drivers are not on their website.

PM me if you got them, thanks.

Proview PL913S is not DVI but it is 16ms and it is $279.00

12% off Staples card would get 2 for 491.00 = tax

Good Luck!

The ChiefValue V293 one does have DVI and 21ms = 299.00

Which is better? DVI or 16ms?

decisions........
