Protocol Analyzers

What can you guys recommend for a Protocol Analyzer? I'm looking for something to use in my home lab, so cost could be a concern.

only one i ever used was made by Fluke, cant remember what it was called but it was pretty cool

I just saw a software based one for $50, but I'll doggoned if I can remember where (I know, great help). If it comes back to me I'll post.....
