We're trying to network a Windows 98 to two Windows XP computers. When I changed the IP on the 98, it gave me an error that said Protman.dos is missing. Has anyone else had problems with this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
protman.dos is a protocol manager that handles various network protocols in windows 98. search your hd for that file...if you cant find it, scrounge up your 98 disks and try to cover it.
does this error only occour when changing the ip address? are you able to access the internet at all?
