bigoted? Where the hell are you getting bigoted? And go cry to mommy if you don't like it.
You got an argument? Or just insults?
Bigoted because you foolishly think that you will never be affected by a bill like this. Bigoted because, in your hatred, you happily think that you are giving away other peoples' freedoms and not your own.
And I never "cry to mommy" about things like this. I was aware of Minnis' latest little publicity stunt days ago. Letters have already been sent off to my state reps, and another letter has already been sent off to Minnis, informing him of how (and how much) I will be aiding his opponent come the next election.

Looks to me like a perfect case for a line item Veto.

Rosa Parks: Justifiable civil disobedience. She broke the Jim Crow laws because they were unjust. She did not break laws unrelated to the one she was protesting.

People who chain themselves to businesses and/or block traffic to protest something that is not related to trespassing and traffic laws: Idiots who deserve prosecution.

well said.

Yes, but with laws already on the books, Amused. You probably know that better than I. This label of "Terrorism" is absolute BS.

What was your point again?

You said that you didn't read the entire bill, but based your post off of the first post, which was, interestingly enough, the entire bill. Then you go on to state that it is actually a good law -- people blocking traffic should be put in prison for life:
I think its a damn good law, if a protest was blocking the road and I had to get to work, and they wouldn't move, sh!t I would just start driving and they sure as hell better get out of my way.
Your opinion is misinformed, by your own choice; call it laziness or stupidity -- I opt for the latter. Your "big man" claims that you would just drive through a crowd blocking the street don't lend you much more credence, either.

Interstingly enough, I see a LINK to the bill, not the bill itself, the text of the first post refers to people blocking traffic and disrupting business. If you were intelligent enough to read the rest of the thread, you would have seen a more in depth explanation, but you seem to have missed that part.

Ok, so I should sit there for an hour or so, with a crowd of protestors surrounding my car, and just patiently wait for them to decide when I'm allowed to go to work? Again, if you had actually read more, you would have seen that I'm not going to go flying through a crowd at 65, but apparently your moronic selective vision caused you to skip over that too.

I suppose I just have a greater desire to be informed, then?

Your post acknowledged that you enjoy being misinformed.
Too long. I'm just going by the first post, peopel SHOULD get punished for disrupting transportation.
I'll stop trying to enlighten you. Obviously these bytes are being wasted.

Did I say that I agree with the entire bill? NO. I NEVER said that. I stated, several times now, that I'm referring to the section quoted in the first post.

I never said 65. I said that you made a "big man" claim without any reason for any of us to believe it; you value your ability to get to work on time over the health of another human (as evidenced by this quote):
3,000 pound car > 150 pound protestor. I don't think too many people will stand there and slowly be run over.
That, my friend, is the "big man" claim I alluded to. I've never read a post of yours where you actually did that, so I'm not sure that it can stand as much more than a claim, until then. Once you cross that threshold, then you will move from the realm of a kid seeking "big man" status to an inhumane jackass. Enjoy the trip.

Rob

You'd probably like that, wouldn't you? I'll admit to being wrong when you prove I'm wrong. And you can say I'm weak all you want, proportional to my weight I am one of the strongest people I know. But whatever you say.

Entity, you again missed my point, I'm not going to run anyone over, because when you see a car driving at you, if you have even half a brain, you get out of the way.

Nothing to see here, move along.

Bills like this are 'proposed' every day and have a snowball's chance in hell of even getting out of committee, let alone to the floor, let alone enacted, not to speak of surviving a court challenge.

Much ado about nuttin...

Agreed, prosecuted as terrorists? They may be stupid, but does stupidity warrant 25 years in prison?

Yes, it does. This is America. Love it or leave it.

Yeah, they really plan on jailing every person that downloads songs and music for 25 years... ok

and yeah.. if you block traffic then you should get locked up.. not 25 years, but i dont see 25 years being accepted anyways.

We're not going to build new prisons to hold millions of people for 25 years, so calm down people.

That is true. But even them proposing this law is unacceptable. They can call whoever they want a terrorist.

You, sir, have just won the award for stupidest post of the year.
That's right... this IS America. Land of the Free, Home of the Brave. Not the tyranny you seem to want to make it.
BTW, protesting (whether you like it or not, I personally am not a big fan) is a 1st Amendment protected right.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Why don't YOU love it or leave it, ok?
