This is akin to one of the fraternities on our campus throwing a "Fro's and 40's" party, and another throwing a "Ghetto Booty" party...NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) complained about both of them...

If a Jewish frat president had a frat party making fun of the Holocaust, would you consider THAT ok?

I'm not saying it's OK one way or the other, but just b/c the president is Latino has no bearing on what happened.

Regardless of whether this was "wrong" or not, just because a member or the President of something participates in an activity, that doesn't mean it isn't racist. He/she could be incredibly thichk, slow, stupid, or have no respect for his heritage, but this doesn't mean that the rest of that race wouldn't find it insulting.

Amazing how stupid some people can be...a joke's fine, but something like that on that scale, in this day and age...you're asking for trouble. or at least protestors. 😉

One of those same fraternities also threw a party called a "White Trash Bash". Do you think anybody was outside protesting, or even complaining, about that? (Regardless of the race composition of said fraternity?)

sounds like a good party theme. I mean we through a gangsta bash where we all wear throwbacks and skull caps and drink 40s. no one has ever protested to that.
