Most people who didn't vote for Trump do not see Trump as the personification of evil. Quite the contrary, I don't think he is the personification of anything. He has no core, no principles. He's a tower of Jell-o, a puppet who is available to let an opportunistic hand slide right up his ass. Can anyone name one thing that he has CONSISTENTLY stood for?

And he admits it! The day after the election, I heard him on the radio, and he said, "I said what I needed to say to get an outsider elected. That's not who I am and not how I plan to run the country." I actually find that encouraging.

I don't think it helps anyone.

Those who are protesting without peace aren't dealing with the situation. Their tantrums gets them media attention which they expect will lead to shame and change, despite the fact Trump's win broke that social mechanism.

Those who mock the protestors or fixate on them help increase the chasm between the sides which delays the day when the protesters finally deal with the new reality.

Those who protest for other causes in the future will have their efforts diminished in the near future, as protesting will be equivocated to tantrums for many Americans.

I see it much like the protests against the Iraq War. They won't change a thing, except to boost the ego of those who participate.

Do these protesters really think they're having a positive effect on this country by advocating "casualties", by burning the American flag, by lynching the President-elect in effigy and waving the Mexican flag?

Or dragging out a white guy and beating him up because hes white and voted for trump. Then stealing his car. Or smashing a pregnant woman's windshield and keeping her trapped while an angry mob "protests".

Acts like this do nothing but hurt the message they are trying to convey. CNN had a speaker who claimed this type of activity was ok, and said, "Oh poor white people!" when the fact that this happened was brought up. Pretty sad that this is deemed ok by some. Its not ok to do it to anyone, no matter what side they are on.
 
Funny thing is the vast majority of Americans are not paying attention to these protests. Only the ones paying attention are either political junkies or those affected by the protests blocking streets or have businesses/places of work damaged by the protesters.

I see it on the news, not just cable news. My Facebook feed is loaded with people for or against it.

I've only seen mention of it from internet sources, I don't watch news on the TV. Many people only watch local news for weather and traffic. No mention during most cable channels shows or evening programming on local TV.

This is the part I find rather revealing. People vote for those they identify with, so I would suggest they identified with him there, too. Everyone can reach their own judgement how smart narcissists voting for another narcissist is.

Heh..where in any of my posts did I say I "trust" the man, and why would I be "surprised" that others don't trust him. I said I will keep an open mind. Life goes on.

Every promise he makes that he walks back must be pointed out immediately. And with praise if the "walk back" benefits the country as a whole. Yeah, he lied his ass off to get elected, no shit. He's made impossible promises that people expect him to keep, and if he keeps them, he runs the country into the ground. Most of the promises are logistically impossible. His filling the swamp with swamp water needs to become a talking point immediately. If Democrats want to prevent this from being a disaster they need to praise his narcissistic ass when he does something pragmatic or is in line with ideals of Democrats and independents so his supporters know they were conned. Nobody in the history of the presidency has been more over their head than Trump. AGAIN...we'll see
 
These protests only turn to riots in unsavory liberal hellholes where self-defense is difficult. Hopefully these events redpill Portland liberals a bit (although most of the dreadlocked and face-pierced white people arrested so far indicates that they're the same ones doing the crime). That's what modern liberalism is all about, a right to destroy property and hurt people without consequence.
