Basically, this is a random number Ipulled of the net concerning the Protein conent of an apple.

Wood Apple
100 gms

Proteins (gms)
7.1

The reason I am askign is because before my workout toady, I ate an apple, and my workout felt "weird. " THis is in addition to the fact that I didn't "feel like sh!t" afterwards.

Actually, I usually feel fine after a workout (cardio and weights), but I felt at least a little better. I was reading how protein intake can reduce the production of Amino acids and allow for more efficient muscle prodcution, and want to see if this applies.

Was it due to the apple, or was it a placebic effect?

That's hardly enough protein to make a difference. If anything the sugar in the apple may have made a difference.

probably not the protein of the apple... more likely the sugar

protien = good for muscles but you probably won't notice an immediate feeling

you probably noticed you blood sugar was a bit higher than normal when excersizing...
i know i get the opposite effect if i don't eat before going to the co-rec (very bad)
