I like them usually as a snack following a whole food meal.

Favorites include Detour's Lean Muscle and Pure Protein.

Detour's can be a meal onto itself. Only 3 sugars.

I dumped them when I saw how much sugar is in most, that and I don't like all the added vitamins and junk they put in there. If I need more protein I either eat more meat or use a whey protein supplement.

Only for times when I can't possibly pack something else.
 
I've tried South Beach and Clif, but neither really have good nutritional numbers that I like. Starting to think about trying to make my own.
 
I think they are too expensive and every type i've ever tried tasted like crap, so I just stick to shakes.
