For decades, we've all enjoyed the benefits of fair use -- the right under Copyright law to make back-up copies of copyrighted works we own. We've copied our music onto cassette, movies onto VHS tape, and pages of books onto copier paper. But now, our right to make legal back-up copies of DVDs we own is in jeopardy.

Hollywood has labeled you a pirate for backing up your own DVDs. And, now, they've spent a fortune convincing the Court that 321 Studios shouldn't be allowed to sell you the software to do it. We're committed to fighting back, but we need your help.

Join with us this week in telling the media, Hollywood, the Courts, and Congress we won't let them leave our fair use rights on the cutting room floor. For five days and for all our rights, let's fight for fair use. -Robert Moore

Heh, they say that as if people are actually backing up DVDs. As if people can even buy dual layer discs to back up DVDs onto.

You know, I'd back something like this if it really was about fair use.

But it's not. The majority behind stuff like this want the ability to copy so they can share illegally or rent the media, copy it, and own it illegally.
