I was wondering if anyone knows the names of the cores for older prossesers, a list would perhaps be nice, but like, intel 386, 486, p60, p75, mmx, p2, p3, p4, and amd, though before the k5, i don't know the names of the prossesers
Thanks

Here's Intel primary processor cores:

4004
4040
8008
8080
8088
80186, 80188
80286
80386
80486
486DX
Pentium
Pentium Pro
Pentium II
Celeron
Pentium III
Xeon
Pentium 4
Itanium

There was also the I960 and MCS51 family which was mainly for embedded and the I860 for supercomputing.

I might have missed a few others such as Strong Arm.

I think maybe he wants the processor cores, not the processor names?

But I don't go back far enough to know the original Pentiums or anything.

Go here and d/l TestCPUe v.96 When you run the program there are several tabs to click on look for 'museum'. It has a lot of CPU's created by Intel, AMD, Cyrix, UMC, NexGen, Centaur, and Rise. They have code names for them, maybe what you are looking for.
