Ok, so my friend ordered his parts for his comp: xp1700 amd chip, radeon 8500, 40 gig 7200 hd, onboard sound, and 512 of 2100 ddr kingston ram. Basically, i'm wondering who's system will benchmark better on madonion.com's 3D benchmark test. my system i'm gonna be running is a 1.60A overclocked to around 2.3 ghz, my GF3TI200 which i have overclocked to near TI500 performance, 512 of Crucial DDR 2100, a 40 or 60 gig at 7200. Basically, the big diff is the cpu and the grfx card... i'm going to have 600 mhz more of equivalent processing power, and he might have a little better grphx card... which do you guys think will 3D benchmark better?

Since its a 3D mark I would then say that the 8500 may have a good start.
Not sure though:)

600mhz more of "equivalent" processing power?

I figured this, because the 1700+ is equivalent to a intel 1.7 ghz, by nature... thats why its named that. now i know its actually 1.47... but on the intel level, theoretically if his is a 1.7 and mines 2.3 it should be somewhat near 600 mhz more... right?
