What the hell are you sniffing? Let's snap back to reality and leave the ideal world behind. There is a reason there is a shortage of most medical professionals. The jobs are for a large part tough, stressful and grossly underpaid.
Is there really a SHORTAGE because its hard and underpaid?!?! Whooooa guys hold on. I'm in college right now and it was that time for MCATs around here. A lot of people I knew were studying like mad for that...and this is just here. People are studying to be doctors EVERYWHERE. And MANY want to be a doctor not just because of the pay.
Actually that would be a lie
😉 but its the pay in combonation of MANY other factors that I know they want to do it.
There is no way there is a shortage. They all study like crazy and a few are confident they will do it and don't think twice, and then others are worried about it and studying MCATs as their "Relaxation from school". There are even a huge group of people who are so insistent on being doctors they will go to a carribean school and then transfer back (that is looked down upon, but some REALLY want to be ones) and all of them are the upper groups of students. Everyone else without bad grades dropped LOOONG ago. By this stage only those who want to do it are still in it and they are 1/10th the original pool but it is still a VERY LARGE POOL.
And the funny part is that within them some want the "Easy" way out and be something that isn't difficult...and some want the HARD jobs. I knew a few who WANT neurosurgeory or Cardiovacular surgeory (actually from what I learned before they cut open anything they should be taking bio mechanics
😉). I know a couple will not succeed because of a lack of atlent but because an inability to get in...
I don't have a great opnion on this debate and I have no idea... being a doctor is a long hard process , but for you to say that it is because people shy away from the difficulty isn't true: the difficulty is trying to get into Med School which itself is a very tough process...that is clear enough.
