proper way to watch or play games on through tv

just bought a gainward gf2 pro with tv out...I"m not sure how to hook up or configure certain software to play games through the tv...anyone can walk me through this...the software included was windvd and powervcr...I already hooked up my tv out to the tv and has put turn on input...right now, the tv is in blue screen (which is good i think) and i just need how to tell the computer to display game images on the tv...any help would be great..thanks
