Proper way to flash Asus A8n-E BIOS

Just need to know what method worked for the majority of people. Need to flash my a8n-e to v.1013

I've read people having success using the windows utility and some bricking their mobo using this method or using the ASUS utility. USB or floppy? I can use both. So what is the best way to do it?

i have been using a bootable usb drive for the past few years with no problems at all
