A classic conservative believes that government should be limited to its Constitutionally spelled out goals. The private sector and capitalism are good because they allow people opportunity to succeed, and government exists mainly to protect the private sector, capitalism, and individual liberties.

This is how I would love to live! Where government is only in existence to provide for the Common Defense and generally doesn't cater to special interests.

What about establish justice, ensure domestic tranquitilty, and promote the general welfare? I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere as well. I guess you forgot about those...

As a side note, can anyone else remember the preamble tune from saturday morning cartoons? Every time I read the preamble, that damn tune runs through my head. It's a lifelong affliction.

It was NOT a proposal.

It was a report!

Do you understand the difference?

Still can't answer the question, huh? Deflect, deflect, deflect!

You lied about media coverage of Kunicich's comment, you lied about the compromise (actually twice, since you lied about the GOP as well), and you lied about Fox news and WOTN.

You're batting 100%, congrats.

You're an idiot.

You are trying to claim that a research report is an offer for a deal.

Do you understand the morality issue of making one person do something that you aren't willing to do yourself?

It is okay to raise taxes on the rich because you aren't rich. But if I suggest that we should raise everyones taxes you get pissed off.

Why is it okay to raise taxes on a millionaire, but not on someone making $100k?

You have had this answered a million times. Burden.

Burden.

Burden.

Someone who is poor and taxed at, just as an example, 20% has a large burden imposed upon them via taxation. The taxation greatly affects their quality of life, and in many cases it would push them into poverty.

Someone who is in the top 1% of earners paying that same rate, would not feel any affects to their quality of life. It does not impose the same burdens.

The way you describe taxation is academic and numeric. It isn't morality. You just want numbers and no real world connotations to its effects.

If you were concerned with morality, you would worry about the government imposing a burdensome tax rate on individuals. That is the real moral dilemma in taxation. You don't want to tax someone til it hurts.

You don't want to tax someone til it hurts.

But it *hurts so bad* to pay taxes at all on enormous incomes. Ask Grover Norquist, who once compared progressive income taxes to the Holocaust...

Too bd that the govt can't auction off the highest paying jobs to the people who agree to pay the highest taxes. Heck, I'll bid 90% on the top hedge fund manager job in the country, which paid $5B in 2010... That's more than the GDP of some really poor countries, I suspect. I'd only have $500M after taxes, but it'd be worth it, I think...

LOL at the guy (kid? paid schill?) you claims that compromise is to move AWAY from middle ground, instead of TOWARDS middle ground. Math is hard?

Again, everyone has reported on this, no one has denied or said it wasn't true, except for you. Shocking!

And you still haven't answered my questions about your LIES about compromise. Not to mention the lies you continue to spout about those Syria comments that were reported on, and how Fox didn't defend WOTN, when Fox lied (heh, just like you!) and claimed WOTN was the victim of hacking.

Either defend your posts or go away. Everyone on this board is sick and tired of you intentionally lying with your posts, and then refusing to defend them or admit you lied. Grow up and educate yourself, then come back and try posting.
