"It's the hardest thing I've ever done, I'm under no illusions," the former British discus thrower and rugby player told England's Short List magazine.

It is if I say it is.

You missed the part where he said it's hard because he's going from no football experience to playing in the NFL. He didn't say football is harder than rugby, he said jumping right into the NFL with no football experience is hard.

troll denied ^_^

It'll get a lot harder if he actually plays a snap in a real game. The first 49ers pre-season game is against Denver, so wait until LT Ryan Clady pancakes his ass repeatedly.

As a person that's played both I can assure you Rugby is harder. Half the time in football people are barely even moving, or when they do, its for 5 seconds, then they get a 20 second break.. repeat a few times.

In rugby, especially rugby 7's, it is almost non stop running. In 15's it's more like regular football where there can be some dull moments in a ruck or something, but there is never any period in time when I played in college that I stopped moving completely for more than 10-15 seconds.

Don't forget that hitting somebody as hard as you possibily can, sans equipment is also allowed. Additionally, you need to wrap them up, or attempt to in your hit. Aka you can't just do some retarded NFL shoulder leading hit that all the safety's tend to go for now a days.

It combines all the toughness of the NFL, with the endurance and agility of soccer. No fat ass 320lb linemen hulking around. Sorry Vince.

There's a quote somewhere from an NFL guy who followed a handful of 3 year olds around for a day and said it was more tiring than playing an NFL game.

PROOF that daycare work is tougher than football.

In this thread:
Olds proves football is harder than rugby.
Some people whine because they can't handle the truth.

More like desperately tries to prove that an obscure sport with a ridiculous amount of kit is at all at all relevant to the greater world even when its fans seem more interested in the adverts between breaks in its biggest match.

But, hey, you look at it however you like.

We don't give a fuck if the rest of you in the 3rd world like it or not.
