Ay-soos sounds like Jesus.. I say A-suhs because it sounds better. There's no reason to say ay-soos because it's not a word. In Engish, U happens to be pronounced "uh" not "ooo".

When I went to Comdex in 1997, they pronounced it as "A ZOOS" and "A SOOS". But that's just ASUS, what do they know.

A-Suss

What is the name anyway? Does anyone know if its an acronym or a persons last name?

BTW-I have bought many of their boards and like the company.

You're pronouncing it incorrectly. It's pronounced A SOOS.

ASUS is named after the Greek god SUS(pronounced "SOOS"), the third cousin of Zeus.

In ancient Greek mythology, SUS is the god of motherboards.
