so how much is 8.1% for you?

I'm EE but i'm not working an EE job....I'm a Quality Engineer for a manufacturing company...def. not making the typical starting salary of EEs. Hopefully soon I will be.

I work for a project funded by the National Sciense Foundation so it's basically Government funded ---> not as much pay as the private sector but I'm doing OK.
 
i would have had a merit increase of 4% but since i wasnt hired till may, i got a proactive increase of only 2.62%. fvckers. an inflation increase of 2.5% on top of the 2.62% did help for an overall increase of about 5% but still not as good as about 6.5%.
