Promise Ultra 100 Problems

I installed this controller tonight and I cannot get it to
see my drives. I tried the WinNT method of booting from an ide
port and installing the card but this did not work. Win98se found
the card and I installed the latest drivers (build 32)also the
I have no irq or dma conflicts. My motherboard is a Abit be6
with highpoint ata66 controller. I disabled this when I try to boot from
the ultra 100 but all I get is a "boot disk failure" message.
The card is installed and divice manager says it is working, but I
cannot get it to see my IBM 75gxp 45gb.

Sorry, don't have an explanation but I am curious as to what is causing that also.
Had the same problem a long time ago w/ promise 66 and BE6 and never did work it out.

A better place to ask might be the storage review
forums. They seem to have more discussion regarding Promise controller cards.
