Building new comp with GA-81EXP all assembled went to load Win 2K Pro
and raid drivers, pressed F6 when prompted when through to select devices
screen pressed S, prompted to install manufacturers floppy. Guess what I did
not recieve one with MB. Went to Gigabytes site for drivers downloaded the one
for this board copied to floppy (5 of them) and tried again, got an error saying a
text file was missing, so I got that and still won't load. Read Raid manual again
and decided to try to load raid driver as if I were upgrading to use Raid funtion
I get an error 10 in devise manager for the raid controller.
I don't know what else to do. Please Help.
I'm supposed to have this ready for Monday the 19th.
I deleted partition with Windows and started over, read all read me files on cd that came with
MB, went through the manuals also, found read me file that said to (copy the whole files in the folder
as follows "\Other\Promise\ATA133\chip276\win2000\" to a floppy. I've done this twice know the first time when
I originally tried to load drivers. This time I loaded the TXTsetup.oem first followed by the 2 items in the
win2k folder. Here is the error message: File\win2000\ultra.sys caused an unexpected error (18) at line 1211
in F:\nt\private\ntos\boot\setup\oemdisk.c. I've also tried different settings in the bios, a different HD, a clean one.
Anyone have any ideas??
