I was wondering if you can use the Klipsch Promedia's with a normal receiver, or if not, something that size, but not Bose price and crap quality!!

Cheers!

you could use them as a home theater, but you can't setup a receiver for them-you would need a PC to send th signal with the analog audio jacks. However, I could be wrong since I have heard people use Y cables. But how would you get true 5.1 then?

You can hook up a dolby digital preamp. Klipsch used to sell a nice one, and I think Creative still does.

I think you're probably better off getting an onkyo home theater in a box deal though.
