my son went to his prom tonight, in a group of 8.. 3 traditional couples and one less so. the pair of guys opted to forgo flowers all together.

I just finished Ayn Rand's We the Living, and at the recomendation of my fellow english major boss, am about to start Yann Martel's Life of Pi. after that, barring any further interruptions in my 2005 reading list, I'm planning on rereading War and Peace at a slower pace (the first time I read it was for a class, and we had to read ~300 pages/week. not really enough time to do it justice). that should take me at least into June-July.
