Just for fun, I though I'd list the projects I'm working on currently after work and on weekends.

1. Get 550sx jetski running. Was given to me last year and needed new motor mounts, carb rebuild, new ignition coil wires (spliced them myself with solder and heatshrink tubing), new fuel lines, new thumb throttle, and complete cleanup/engine repaint. took it out on Sunday and it overheated. Brought it home and found engine feed line was full of sand so no water could get in. Cleaned it out, back flushed everything, should be good to go now.

2. Purchased a kawasaki 650sx to put the engine in my X2 (has tons of aftermarket parts. Ended up putting a spare stock engine in the 650sx and having the impeller reworked at SBT. New fuel lines, carb rebuild, exhaust gaskets, hydroturf, etc, and took it out Sunday. Was a blast to ride and has tons of power.

3. Painting my X2. Stripped the paint off and all trim. Now need to sand, prime, sand, and paint. Putting engine from 650sx in it with westcoast exhaust, factory waterbox, ocean pro head, mikuni 44bn carb, etc. Should be able to spray it on Sunday weather permitting. Color will be General Lee orange.

4. Bought double trailer for jetskis. I'm converting it to a 4 place standup trailer and damn, parts are expensive. 12 stainless steel ubolts run me $70.00. Jetski bow nose mounts run me $18.00x4 plus shipping. Metal stock for bunk mounts and 2x4s is over $20.00. Metal stock for winch mounts plus labor to have them welded is over $100.00.

5. Clean up shop.. ugh

6. Bought honda QA50 minibike that needs TLC. Purchased new tires/tubes, cables, twist throttle assy, grips, seatpad, etc. Need to clean up the tank and get a fuel cap still. Should be a weekend job to get it where I want it to be. Has great compression and spark.

7. Install O2 sensor simulator in my infiniti to get rid of the code. Also put rear struts on (bought them last year, KYB brand), and wash/wax car.

8. Fix leaky hottub. Requires pulling out all the foam from the bottom and finding the leak. I think i know the general area. Should take a couple days.

9. Fix lawnboy--needs clutch cable for blade engagement.

10. Fix points/condensor/coil on old ass Swisher Yard King mower and buy a new carb for it. Try to see if it runs.

All I really want to do is take my jetskis out to the lake and ride them all day long...

- Need to get with the neighbors on both sides of the house, put together and split the cost of building fences (we all moved in around the same time).
- Need to look for deals on bushes and trees and do a good bit of planting.
- Need to rent and purchase materials to build a flagstone patio with firepit (...probably gonna put this one off until next year).

1. Part of my property is a clearing where I like to have campfires in the middle of my woods that are next to my house. I am going to dig a firepit, fill it with gravel and line it with brick. I'm still trying to decide if I want to rig some sort of swing arm to hold a pot and/or grate for cooking purposes. I already have purchased and hauled about 850 used 100-year-old bricks; I just need to finish the job now.

2. In the same area, I want to install a nice picnic table. Some of the bricks I bought will be used to make a pad for the table so I won't have to mow under it.

3. The path that runs from my house to this clearing needs some work - it is on the side of a steep hill and needs some shoring. I'm going to buy some 8"x8"x12' salt treated lumber to stabilize the path. Then if I can buy some more used bricks, I'm going to gravel then brick the entire path - all 300'-400' feet of it. I already know a guy who has the bricks I need; I just need to talk him down on price.

4. One ongoing task involves my woods. The previous owner of my property was real zealous about cleaning out undergrowth, which to him was anything smaller than a full grown tree. The result of this is that I have no young trees and about a million old trees, many of which are dead or dying. I constantly am planting saplings in the woods to help my woods become healthy again (i.e. I want my woods to stay dense even when some of the old trees finally fall).

AC handler/unit is located in my attic, the drain pipe backed up two weekends ago and I came home to a flood of water coming through my ceiling in one of my guest rooms.

When it happened I removed all the insulation that got wet and dried everything out with a bunch of fans.

This past weekend I cut out the damaged drywall in the ceiling and replaced that, then mudded everything back up. I still need to sand it down then prime and paint the ceiling then plan on repainting that same guest room afterwards.

We are removing all the carpet in our house and replacing it with laminate floating flooring.
Walnut block.
Re-casing our windows with bullnose and repairing any sheetrock and texture, and repainting.
Remodeing both bathrooms.
So far, the guest bath is done, as are two of the bedrooms. I am lucky to have a sheetrock tape/texture/hang guru next door. Really lucky!
We just finished a bedroom last night and are starting on the great room, UGH!

1. I just put up some solar powered motion sensor lights on the south side of the house.
2. I just replaced the broken motion sensor light over the garage.
3. I need to hang the last two big pictures in the front room.
4. I need to finish the wiring in the garage (See here, here, here, here, here and most of all, here).
5. I need to finish the wiring behind the master bedroom TV (hopefully after buying a new TV ;)).
6. I need to put another coat of paint on the new fence.
7. I have to decide what to do about the cabinetry and wiring for the main entertainment center.
8. Eventually, I will clean storage room, again.

I recently wrapped up my subwoofer build for my basement

Next up is to build a toybox for the kiddo's stuff.

This fall I'll be ripping out the old wooden deck that is original to the house (30+ years old) and pouring a patio with a firepit and a built in grill hooked up to the natural gas in the house.

Sometime this winter we want to rip the shower stall out of the master bath and redo the plumbing and tile it up instead of the fiberglass stall that is in there.

Project at my parents is to complete the 12x16 storage building: pictures

At my house I need to finish the bathroom tiling project: pics

After that, tile the floor, finish the drywall, install the toilet and vanity/sink. Downstairs needs tiled in the entrance and into the kitchen. Also have to install the new patio door in the kitchen that I have sitting in my garage.

Anyone want to help me?

I'm in the final stages of a bathroom remodel:
? Finish the sink install - probably need to notch the backs of the back legs to get it to sit flush with the wall on the top. There's a tiny leak at the drain - probably need to re-putty it.
? Fix the door frame - damaged when we moved in, something's keeping the door from latching
? Fix the hallway closet door - similar issue
? Fix my son's room door - may require new 6-panel door - doesn't close "right"
? Repair master bedroom ceiling - cracks in plaster
? Remove and replace front hall parquet - cross my fingers that there's hardwood under it
? Resolve basement water issue... new gutters and landscaping haven't helped. I think I have a void under my garage slab. This is probably going to get expensive.
? Replace basement wiring throughout - water damage has all the walls down so might as well
? Remodel basement, including bathroom; new walls and (waterproof) flooring
? Select and install gas log inserts in both fireplaces (can't find one we really like)
? Find/purchase/install window well covers

Man, that's a long list.

I have a huge 8 foot wide picture window that was built in 1958 with 12 panes of glass. I ordered 12 insulated glass units and replaced and sealed all of the panes with double-paned glass. Now I have to finish sealing the glass and repaint the window and new trim...

After that, I want to put in some new kitchen cabinets. I just don't know if I'll have the coin to do it just yet...

Removed carpet in bedroom, wife painted walls and I installed new hardwood floor and trim. See photos here.

Sealed fence with 13 gallons of waterseal.

Cleaned deck and sealed with waterseal.

Cleaned and sealed concrete flower bed borders with concrete aggregate sealer.

Removed broken 4x4 fence post (damn big concrete to remove) and install new post.

Sanded and removed flaking paint from garage door (sanded, pressure washed and repeated about 10 times over a week to get it right). Primed door and painted with two coats of fresh, oil based black paint.

Removed old tile floor as well as subfloor top layer. Installed concrete backerboard and new time and trim.

Installed new vinyl floor in laundry room, painted and had a new stackable washer/dryer installed.

Jobs to do....

New granite counter tops (will have installed but will do prep work myself if possible).

paint garage door side trim.

Paint railing and post on front porch

Strip old paint from front porch and lay new flagstone on porch and lead-up sidewalk. Seal flagstone to prevent weather damage.

Strip old paint from garage floor and coat with new, epoxy kit (with pretty little flakes).

Pressure wash side of house to clean and remove egg that neighbor's kid threw on the side of the house about 2 years ago (it's two stories up though so hard to get to and I don't have a ladder).

and many more that I cannot think of...

Finish the pantry (already painted and some shelving installed, need to finish up shelving)
Mow about 5 acres
Cut, split, and stack another two or three cords of wood
Finish planting one flower bed and plant three new ones
Build trellisses for four rows of raspberries/caneberries
Finish setting up automatic watering system for garden before we go on vacation early next month
Re-stain deck, replace some boards along the edge
Build storage shelves for empty pots in greenhouse
Build more benches for plants in greenhouse
Paint maroon wall that spans living room/dining room/front room some sort of mocha color (need to pick out paint)
Curtains for 4 large windows (16 total curtain panels)
Help daughter sort stuff out of her room that she doesn't want anymore and take to Goodwill
Set up art studio in her bedroom when she's got room for it
More stuff I can't think of right now. When you own your own place, there's ALWAYS fifty things that need to be done/fixed.

That reminds me, I need to go gather and split a couple cords of wood, clean and stain the deck, build a dog run, and replace the carpeting in our basement.

My project is "getting a house" rather than working on one.

Although I have been progressively helping my brother clear stumps/weeds/etc from his backyard in his new house so he can put up a fence in the next few weeks.

We're finding lots of stumps, concrete, etc. all along the property line. Awesome! :(

I just got my honey do list down to the last few items. Before she thinks of more.

Replacing all the landscape lights with ones that look better.

Redoing the shelving in my basement storage closet so I can have better access to the fuse box.

Building a storage area under my my deck for my lawn mower.

I've got to paint the bottoms of my truck doors on the inside where they're rusted.
